Argyll Islands Landscape Partnership Schemes ( Nàdair 1 & 2 )
Support from the Heritage Lottery Fund has enabled us to deliver two consecutive ‘Landscape Partnership Schemes’. These are coordinated programmes which address a range of heritage issues in a defined geographic area - in our case the Argyll Atlantic Islands.
The Argyll schemes, known as Nàdair 1 (2001-05) and Nàdair 2 (2005-08) include a total of 65 projects, delivered in partnership with 31 local and regional organisations. Together these projects are making a significant contribution to protecting island heritage, and helping locals and visitors to learn about and enjoy it.
With a total value of £7.75m, the Nàdair programmes are also having a positive impact on the island economies – increasing demand for local goods and services, creating jobs, raising skill levels and supporting the vitally important tourism industry.
